The proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 spending bill passed by the House of Representatives Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies drastically reducing the entire Center for Disease Control (CDC) budget and eliminating the entire CDC Injury Center, including the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) program and DELTA funding, is unacceptable.
These cuts to vital programs that are the backbone of preventing gender-based violence across the country would be devastating to states, communities, young people, families, rape crisis centers, domestic violence programs, and survivors.
Congress must fully fund these programs in FY 2025.
